Looking southeast. Flagpole in foreground. Work on the post office began in late summer of 1916 with the present structure being dedicated in the fall of 1917. It is an example of Palladian Revival architecture. Grinnell is known as the City of Beauties, and is the home of Grinnell College.--photo verso. Number 65675. Series G-7 and 409-D-7.
