Looking northeast at the town of Earlville, Iowa with the bellow tower of the Methodist Episcopel Church in the center and the St. Joseph Catholic Church spire on the far right. Earlville was first named Nottingham in 1857 in honor of the leading officials of the railroad company and then changed to Earlville shortly after in honor of George M. Earl, an early landowner. Number 88.
