Letter from Mary Mears to her "darling friend" recounting the story of how an elm tree in the yard of her childhood home came to be known as "Beecher."
These resolutions, dated April 2, 1891, were passed upon the death of J.B. Grinnell. In particular, they involve explicit recognition of Grinnell's contributions to the founding of the bank and the importance of his continued support until his death. The resolutions were recorded by the cashier of the bank at the time, C.H. Spencer.
