Looking east at a number of boats moored at the harbor on the Mississippi River. The Lindsay Park Boat Harbor (now called the Lindsay Park Yacht Club) was authorized in 1950 as a feature of the Upper Mississippi River Nine-foot Channel Project to accommodate recreational vessels and other small craft. It is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River near the upstream limits of Davenport, about 1.2 miles upstream from Lock and Dam No. 15. It consists of a rock breakwater enclosure to accommodate 200 resident craft plus transient craft. The harbor depth is five feet. The harbor was built in 1961 at a federal cost of $262,100.
