"Restaurant at Junction of U.S. Highways 30 and 69, Ames, Iowa."--t.p. verso. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones opened Bob's Tip Top Sandwich Shop in 1949, a popular restaurant along the Lincoln Highway. It was later purchased by Jim Overturg, who dropped the Bob from the name and transformed it into a lounge. It is now a popular hangout for both college students and Ames residents.
