Looking northwest from corner of Park Street and Fourth Avenue. The first Grinnell high school was built in 1904. An addition that expanded the building to include junior high students was completed in 1921. Number 998. It now houses the Grinnell Community Center.
The original building at this location was built in 1899 but was destroyed by a fire in 1931 and rebuilt in 1932 at 500 North Grand Avenue, Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa.
