1953 Iowa Corn Picking Contest Winners

Jack Waterbeck, fourth from the left holding plaque, after winning the 1953 two-row division Iowa corn picking contest. The contest was held in a field north of Blairstown and was sponsored by WMT Radio. Mr. Waterbeck had a new International Harvester corn picker on an International Harvester Super MTA tractor. Mr. Waterbeck, from Hartwick, Iowa, went on to take third place nationally.
