Croft talks about not being able to come to Iowa because of having to pay his taxes, his job as a carpenter working for an oil company and having to commute thirty miles each way, and discusses whether he should sell the farm back home in Iowa. Helen appends a note about house hunting and the weather. Includes envelope.
