-
Description
-
Looking southwest at the two-story limestone and granite post office building designed by architect James Knox Taylor and completed in 1910 at a cost of $488,016.67. Postal operations moved from the Walnut Street building in 1971 to a much larger facility at Second and University Avenue. This building is used for county offices. It is located on East Walnut Street and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. 1912 postmark. Number 604.
