Looking southwest from the corners of A Avenue NE and Sixth Street NE at the original small brick church, located on the corner of 6th Street and Avenue A was built in 1856 and expanded in 1873 and 1890. It was razed in 1948 and reconstructed in 1963 which still has the original side and back walls that were built in 1851. Located at 525 A Avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa. Number 5777.
The Emanuel Lutheran Church was established in 1862. The original Church was replaced by a brick building in 1910 and the new parsonage was contructed in 1949. Number 1148.
