A multiview of Fairfield, Iowa, from top to bottom, left to right. Looking down a quiet residential street on West Broadway. Looking northeast at the Jefferson County Court House which was designed by H.C. Koch and constructed of brick and stone in 1891-93 at the cost of close to $74,000. The building is built in the Victorian Romanesque style. Looking North on Main Street. Fairfield Hall was designed by architect Henry K. Holsman, and completed in 1903 and contains elements of the Beaux Arts style. Logan School was built in 1890. The Fairfield Public Library is a Carnegie Library built in 1893 at a cost of $40,000 and designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style by architect Appleton Prentiss Clark, Jr., Washington, DC. Contractor was C. Stafford, Kansas City, Kansas.
