Looking southwest on Jackson Street in Brooklyn, Iowa. Shorter wooden building has "Photo Rooms" on the front. The large brick building with stone front is the Corinthian Lodge built in 1865 at a cost of $7,000 and has the initials "A.F. & A.M." on the front. The Ancient Free and Accepted Masons (A.F. & A.M.), No. 174, was organized in 1864 and chartered in 1865. 1910 postmark.

Over the years it has hosted various campus offices. It is named for Mary Grinnell Mears, an 1881 graduate of Grinnell College and daughter of J.B. Grinnell, founder of the college.
