The swimming pool addition was completed in 1938 at a cost of $109,000. It was claimed that this was the first college pool west of the Mississippi. The Gymnasium served the campus as the sole physical education building until the West Gymnasium opened in 1925. The gymnasium was later renovated in 2006 to house the Innovative Teaching and Technology Center. Number 0B-H1951.
