HADC - Waterloo Center for the Arts

As a partner of the HADC Project, the Waterloo Center for the Arts, located on the banks of the scenic Cedar River in downtown Waterloo, has the worlds’ largest public collection of Haitian Art in the world. The following selection displays a sample of paintings, metalworks, and drapos (flags) from their Haitian art collection.

Metal Wall Hanging, rectangular, horse or goat, possibly unicorn, with long body. A bird is visible below the animal's neck.

Goat / ram. Has rounded horns. There are three four pointed stars in the cut out. Two below the animal and one above.

Large pink flag framed in black velvet, near center is a large gold bull with horns and purple, blue silver and orange spots. There are 3 symbols above the figure and to the right and below.

Flag. A figure with a face, body and many arms it is surrounded by plants. There is a large green snake wrapped around its neck and head. A pink and black bird in the upper left corner.
